Basti with Abhyanga Treatment (Hot Herbal Oil Therapy)

An ancient Indian medical treatment using building a circular dam on localized areas of the body, which is continuously filled with heated medicated oils.

The circulation of hot herbal oil in the dam, allows for deeper penetration and relaxation of stiff muscles and scar tissue.

The herbal oil serves to open channels and release deep-seated emotional and physical tension.

Types of Basti's:

Greeva Bast (Neck and Shoulder Therapy): A damn is built on the neck, and warm medicated oil is continuously circulated in the dam. This is excellent for people with neck pain due to stress and long hours in front of computer screens. The herb infused oil helps to physically and energetically move the stagnant stress energy that has become lodged in the neck and shoulder. The hot oil literally melts away tension.

Kati Basti (Lower Back Therapy):  Excellent for releasing lower back pain in the lumbar and thoracic regions. Benefits muscle spasms, rigidity of the lower spine and also strengthens bone and muscle tissue in the local area.

Ayurvedic Healing Therapy

We are dedicated to our clients and our practice.  An in-depth analysis of your health history and your current health concerns/problems will be conducted. We will help to identify your unique body-type (Prakruti) and will offer guidelines to prevent disease processes and imbalances.  In cases of body-mind imbalance (Vikruti), a treatment intervention including lifestyle and dietary guidelines along with herbs, panchakarma, meditation, and yoga may be advised to help restore balance and support the innate healing and self-repair process in the body.
